Amberfarm Ltd. grows sea buckthorn in Smiltene region (www.smiltene.lv) in Latvia following the   principles   set   out   in   the Integrated Farming Guidelines. This means that each stage of this agricultural production is monitored starting with soil analysis, plant origin, fertilization plan and regular plant monitoring. Since 2017, the company is also a member of the Latvian Fruit Grower's Association, which unites more than 400 members and provides an opportunity to exchange important information and experience. Our staff regularly attends seminars and training courses of various types to improve the nuances of sea buckthorn cultivation and processing.

Company distributes its products under the trade name AmberFarm, which characterizes the cultivation and distribution of amber berries.

Sea buckthorn juice, berries, oil

The preventive effect of juice is determined not only by the rich content of bioactive substances, but also by the interaction of these components:

• Carotene is absorbed by the body only in the presence offats, but in sea buckthorn berries it is already dissolved in oil;
• VitaminsA and E are synergistic, they enhance each other's effects;
• VitaminC in sea buckthorn is in a free, unbound form and therefore easier to absorb;
• Seabuckthorn berries do not contain the enzyme ascorbine oxidase, thus vitamin C is not degraded as quickly as, for example, in black currants or rosehips;
• Theacidic environment in the juice enhances the stability of vitamin C; Vitamin C is better absorbed by the body in the presence of vitamin
