Many Lithuanian producing and processing fruits, vegetables and spice herbs companies are reachable through the National Food Cluster. The cluster has 22 members including private companies, scientific institutions and farmers.

The cluster manufactures innovative products with higher added value from Lithuanian raw materials.

Recently confectionary the joint science-business project was implemented. An innovative line of snacks has been created from plant based raw materials and their bioactive fractions. The snacks are enriched with vitamins and microelements, without added sugar.

Functional plant protein shakes with lyophilised fruits and berries has been developed in collaboration between LAMMC SDI scientists and company Mėlynė. In addition, various juice drinks, jams, spreads and delicacies made of lyophilised fruits and vegetables have been developed by Mėlynė UAB.
